MSTS currently offers the following training tracts:

CCW/CWP Training Course:  This is an 8 hour course that meets the training requirements needed to apply for your Concealed Weapon Permit through the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office or Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s Office.  The course covers legal aspects, use of force, firearm safety and basic firearm proficiency.  There is a test at the end of the course and certificate upon successful completion.  Course fee $120 ($110 if already a GFSSC {Great Falls Shooting Sports Complex} member)  A $60 deposit is required to reserve a training slot

NOTE - This is not your typical CCW/CWP course.  It is not classroom-only or a class with a few rounds thrown down range just for practice, that then gives you a piece of paper saying you “meets standards”.  MSTS can offer a unique point of view and access to information and experience that a lot of trainers cannot offer.  We are both firearms instructors - we are both active law enforcement officers with SWAT experience - we are both survivors of deadly force encounters - we are both committed to making sure you leave our class with the training, confidence and competence to win a deadly force encounter if you are ever placed in that situation.  You WILL leave our class at a level that “exceeds standards”.

Due to higher demand for this course, we are attempting to adjust schedules to get open dates to you as soon as possible.

UPDATE (8/20/10):   The weather is finally turning and we are going to do something different this year by scheduling classes for the next several months and posting the dates here.  We are also going to establish a minimum class size and reserve the right to cancel a class if that number of students is not met - we would then move those students to the next class or offer a refund.  We hope you understand how this helps with our scheduling.

Class dates (Saturdays):

3/27/10

4/3/10 - (cancelled due to holiday)

5/1/10

6/5/10

7/24/10 - Cancelled

8/21/10 - Cancelled*

More dates TBD

Use email link below for reserving a class date slot, class registration and details.  *You MUST submit an application and deposit to confirm your slot for the class.  We require this as it helps us confirm class sizes and determine if the minimum number of students have been met.  It is cost prohibitive to us and inconveniences the range if we do not meet the minimum class size.  Thanks for your understanding.
